Clear Motivations is a nonprofit organization that has proudly supported adults with disabilities since 2013. We're looking for positive, dependable, and motivated individuals to join our team!
As a Job Coach, you'll work one-on-one with an adult with a disability at local businesses, helping them learn job skills, build confidence, and become more independent.
Never been a Job Coach before? That's okay! We provide paid training to help you learn and succeed.
Whether your background is in retail, restaurants, customer service, caregiving, education, janitorial services, or another industry, your experience and skills can make a difference!
What Will You Do?
As a Job Coach, you'll be a teacher, mentor, and motivator!
Your daily responsibilities include:
-Teach Job Skills: Help participants learn workplace tasks such as stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, cleaning, customer service, and other job responsibilities.
-Encourage Independence: Guide participants to complete tasks, solve problems, and gain confidence in their abilities.
-Build Workplace Relationships: Support positive communication and interactions with coworkers, supervisors, and customers.
-Motivate and Celebrate Success: Recognize accomplishments and encourage participants to reach new goals.
-Provide Transportation: Use your personal vehicle to transport assigned participants to and from designated locations.
-Track Progress: Complete daily documentation highlighting participants' accomplishments and areas for growth.

What Does a Typical Day Look Like?
You'll begin your day by picking up your assigned participant and traveling to a local business, such as a grocery store, retail shop, restaurant, or other community workplace.
Throughout the day, you'll help your participant learn their job responsibilities, practice workplace skills, and become more confident and independent.
At the end of your shift, you'll review their progress, complete daily documentation, and provide transportation to their designated drop-off location.
This is an active, hands-on position working in the community, not behind a desk!

What We're Looking For
You don't need previous Job Coach experience to be successful. We're looking for individuals who are patient, dependable, encouraging, professional, and willing to learn!
Minimum Qualifications:
-High school diploma or GED.
-Valid California driver's license and acceptable driving record.
-Reliable personal vehicle with current auto insurance.
-Willingness to transport participants throughout the community.
-Ability to stand or walk for approximately 4–6 hours and lift up to 25 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
-Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
-Ability to work independently and follow program guidelines.
-Ability to meet applicable background screening and drug testing requirements, consistent with California law.
-CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification.
Experience in any of these fields is a plus, but not required:
Retail, grocery stores, restaurants, hospitality, customer service, caregiving, education, childcare, janitorial services, warehouse operations, community services, or working with individuals with disabilities.
Your willingness to teach, motivate, and encourage others matters most!
Where Will You Work?
Clear Motivations is based in Anaheim, California, but our Job Coaches work directly with participants at businesses throughout Orange County.
We make every effort to assign Job Coaches to participants in or near their home communities. Travel to different locations may be required.
